The Australian Capuchins are but one of 137 regional groupings
in 87 different countries. These groups, according to their relative independence
from or dependence on one another, are designated as provinces (P), vice provinces
(VP), custodies (C), depedencies (D) & houses of presence (HP).
Many of the groups have websites of their own, as does our international
headquarters in Rome. All of the groups are listed below,
and many are hot-linked to other websites.
Links are also listed for webpages of organisations and friars within the
various circumscriptions.
Using search engines to find "Capuchins" or its various linguistic
variants, such as Cappuccini, Capuchinos, Capuchinhos, Kapuziner, etc., will
produce an endless procession of websites concerning a private family, mountains,
hills, bridges, piazzas, streets, parts of towns, whole towns, hotels, restaurants,
cloaks, clothing, coffees, chocolates, beers, vineyards, and even monkeys named
after the Capuchins. None of these are listed here.
World Headquarters
The international (General) leadership of our Order is centered in Rome,
where it maintains the General Curia O.F.M.Cap., the International College
of St. Lawrence, the Capuchin Historical Institute, St. Fidelis Guest House
for Capuchins visiting Rome, and a center (at nearby Frascati) for Capuchins
in continuing education.
