Ordination Jubilees
RECENTLY, our province has celebrated two important events in its life. Br.
Athanase Gonelli celebrated his Golden jubilee (50 years) of Priesthood and
Br Ted Harrop celebrated his Silver Jubilee (25 years) of Priesthood.
On Sunday, 31 August Athanase celebrated with the friars and many Italian
people at the St. Fiacres in Leichhardt. The week before, on Sunday, 24 August,
Ted celebrated his jubilee with family, friends and parishioners at the Church
of the Good Shepherd, Plumpton.
What follows is a brief introduction to two friars who are great examples
of fidelity to their Capuchin calling.
