SIMPLE PROFESSION OF Br LAM VU
On Friday evening, 2nd February 2001 Br Lam Vu completed his Novitiate year
by making his first profession into the hands of the Provincial Minister,
Br John Cooper OFM Cap.
The liturgy was a simple and joyful one celebrated in the chapel of Assumption
Friary in Plumpton, Sydney. Those present to celebrate with Lam were the friars,
most of Lam's family who came all the way from Brisbane, and also many of Lam's
friends from nearby and far away.
The beautiful music was provided by the young people from Micah 6, a support
group for young people wishing to become more involved in ministry and the
overall life of the parish. Lam had got to know them well in his twelve months
at Plumpton.
We give thanks to God for Lam's generous commitment of his life to God, the
Church and the Capuchin Order. May he always be blessed and strengthened in
his commitment. Please continue to pray for Lam and for our other men in formation:
Luan, Lee, Long and Brendan.
Lam has now begun his post-novitiate studies and life in our friary in Hawthorn,
Melbourne.
